,it was happened about 1800 years
ago .
Someone sent an elephant to Caocao ,the Prime Minister of
Han Dynasty .Caocao took the ministers and his little son ,a six years old boy
called Canchong ,to see the elephant .
They had never seen an elephant , the elephant was so big
and so high ,only a leg just like as big as the post of the palace .Caocao said
to the ministers “How big the elephant is ! how heavy is it? ,do you have
a way to weight it ? ”.The guy was so big , how to weight it ? they talked
to each other .
“To make a big weigh to weight it ” someone said .
“How big we can make the weigh to weight it ,it is alive
,no way to handle it ,only kill it to pieces ,then weight it ”another said
,”That is a stupid way ,we only want to know the weight ,you kill it ,it is a
pity ”another said ,they had argued for a long time ,but had nothing to deal
with it .This time ,a boy came out of them ,he said something to his father
,Caocao was very happy ,he took the ministers to the river to weight the elephant
.
There was a ship among the river ,Caocao called someone to
take the elephant into the ship ,after the ship was stable ,make a mark on the
ship side with the water surface ,then took the elwphant away .Caocao
ordered to put some stones to the ship ,when the ship dripped into the mark
,stopped the works .they weighted the stones and added to the total ,that was
the weight of the elephant .
When the ministers understood what they had done
,they all praised that was a clever way .”This way come from my son ,a
six years old boy ”Caocao said to the ministers ,looked at the son happily
